ASIAC
is the largest parent support group in NSW, Australia representing
families that have adopted or are in the process of adopting from
China, Korea, The Philippines, Taiwan. Thailand, India and Hong Kong.
ASIAC,
which has been helping adoptive families for over 30 years, is run by
current and prospective adoptive families.
Our
philosophy is that every child, regardless of colour, race or creed, has
the best chance to develop to his or her full potential within a family.
ASIAC
supports adoption for children in need of families, and is committed to
developing community awareness of overseas adoption.
We
aim to:
- encourage and facilitate
intercountry adoption
- support, guide and
educate its
members during all stages of the adoption journey
- advocate for and support
children in
need in overseas countries through education and funding projects.
ASIAC
is not an adoption agency.
Overseas adoption in NSW can only be organised through the NSW
Department of Family & Community Services.
